Ender 3 Filament Guide **UPDATED**
thingiverse
Update 22/9/2019: A solid wheel and pin have been added to replace a 608 bearing. This has not yet been tested; if it is printed, please report how it works. This remix of [Holspeed's filament guide](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052488) is almost perfect, with minor changes made: 1. The guide wheel was lowered slightly to align the bottom tangentially with the extruder inlet. 2. Space around the guide wheel was increased to prevent rubbing. 3. Fillets were added to the wheel's outer diameter and a chamfer on the inner diameter for easier bearing insertion, resulting in a very tight fit onto a 608 bearing. 4. The spacer's outer diameter was expanded into a press-fit within the bearing, while its inner diameter was adjusted for a close fit with an M4-threaded bolt; chamfers were also added to make inserting this bolt easier. 5. A counterbore for an M4 SHCS and a pocket for an M4 nut on the other side were added; an M4x15 SHCS is the ideal length. 6. Sharp corners have been filleted off for aesthetic reasons. The bracket still requires a press-fit onto the z-carriage, sliding into place with moderate effort until it's seated, with no hardware required. Update 19-Jan-2020: Following numerous comments about the guide wheel's press fit tolerance, note that the wheel should always be printed on its side; once rotated this way, loosen the fit by scaling the model up by 2 or 3% in X and Y.
