Ender 3 Filament Guide

10/29/2019 UPDATE: dlf420 pointed out that Z axis clearance is crucial when using this setup, as it will reach the guide before topping out! (Thanks for bringing this to my attention) Also, if you use the filament guide on your extruder stepper like I do, it will reach that at around 205-210mm. Typically, I don't run tall prints, so I didn't notice this issue. To address this, I'm making some adjustments for the filament guide and will repost when finished. I prefer to transfer filament from the reel to the extruder with zero drag or resistance if possible. Instead of stationary loop guides, I opted for rollers and bearings. This setup is actually a Frankenstein's monster mash-up in Tinkercad, combining elements from Holspeed and elmerohueso. I designed the thumb screw and nut in Fusion 360 to fit snugly inside the bearing, adding inner rings to contact the bearing race and eliminate spacers altogether. To loosen the threads on the nut, I had to run a tap through it. The T-Slot nuts came from another file, which I couldn't identify as they were numerous. Two very small drops of super glue hold the 4mm nuts securely in place within the T-Slot nuts. The bearings used are 608 2RS.
