Ender 3 Filament Guide Lead Screw Protector

Ender 3 Filament Guide Lead Screw Protector

ATTENTION: This modification won't fit if your printer came with a brass insert where the filament is inserted into the hole. I've created a design for a filament guide and lead screw protector that uses a PTFE tube to eliminate wear on printer parts where the filament comes in contact with them. To use it, get a 25mm (1 inch) PTFE tube and slide it into the hole as shown in the picture. You'll need to carefully drill the hole with a 4mm drill bit. The filament guide isn't screwed in place; instead, just slide it down the lead screw and let it rest on the bracket. I've been using this for several weeks without any issues. If you find my contribution helpful, please support my work by giving me a tip. Thanks. Tip: Download the files only if you're planning to start printing the parts right away because I might make design changes that will be noted below as revisions. Revisions: 06.01.2019: First public release
