Ender 3 Filament Guide
thingiverse
After printing one almost a year ago, I finally wore it down enough to cause under-extrusion problems. So, instead of printing another that would drag and wear out again, I decided to redesign it. I added a wheel or bearing to it now, and it just rolls its way around, hopefully reducing drag and wear on the parts and filament. I have a bolt designed to go with it, if you want everything printed together, but this can easily be replaced with a metal bolt, tapping threads into PLA or attaching a nut to the end - just remember not to over-tighten as the wheel/bearing still needs to move. The only point of possible failure would be the printed bolt. I recommend greasing it or applying a lubricant every now and then, just like you should do with your Z-axis threaded rod from time to time. The printed bolt will fit into the hole without a nut or anything as the hole is threaded. I hope this helps!
