Ender 3 Filament Guide

Ender 3 Filament Guide

I designed a small filament guide for my Ender 3 printer. The existing setup caused severe filament bending as it entered the extruder, leading to under-extrusion during delicate layer prints. This sharp bend also posed a risk of damaging the nozzle opening on older machines, which lack the protective brass insert found in newer models. Additionally, it allowed grease from the lead screw to contaminate the nozzle. To address these issues, I highly recommend using a bowden tube coupling and a short section of PTFE tubing to reduce friction and wear on both the filament and printer components. The thread size used is M6x1.0, which is commonly found in standard couplings like those I employed.
