Ender 3 Extruder Knob with Set Screw
thingiverse
This is a modified version of the knob model originally created by user 'pixel2.' I recreated it in Fusion 360 and extended the stem slightly, adding an opening for an M2 set screw. *** To address common issues, please note: - This model was designed to be dimensionally precise. The stepper motor shaft has a standard diameter of 5mm, while the knob's opening is 5.2mm (5mm +0.2mm tolerance). Accuracy will still vary based on your printer settings, material choice, and printer specifications. - For an exact fit when accuracy is not ideal, heat the shaft opening with a lighter for a second to soften the material before placing it in position. Perform this action in one motion without readjusting, allow it to cool, then remove – you'll find a precise fit. - The set screw opening is simply a 2mm diameter hole that requires threading yourself when installing an M2 screw. Create the threading beforehand and clean up any debris. If your opening is significantly off, heating it may be necessary to ease the threading process.
