Ender 3 extruder clamp/limiter

Ender 3 extruder clamp/limiter

I designed this modification to simplify the process of changing filament on the Ender 3 by securely clamping or pushing the extruder in place. Once installed and tightened, it allows the filament to run smoothly between the extruder wheels, making insertion a breeze. Additionally, I believe this design could potentially make printing with soft filaments easier. In theory, you can adjust the spring force of the extruder clamp to prevent squishing softer filaments, though I haven't tried that yet. Be cautious when installing the M7 screw; I printed the Screwknob (vertical) using a "-0.2mm" horizontal expansion setting in CURA and encountered no issues with the holder's x/y hole. However, print settings may vary depending on your specific Ender 3 model. For optimal results, use a moderate infill setting of 10-20% and experiment with different layer heights to find what works best for you; in my case, 0.2mm worked perfectly. Enjoy experimenting with this modification!
