Ender 3 Extruder Bracket
thingiverse
A replacement extruder bracket for the Ender 3 is created, addressing issues caused by improperly bent brackets during Z travel. ***This design may not work with stock extruders due to a brass nut in the way. I do not use the stock extruder as shown in the image; please inform me if this causes an issue and I will revise the design again and move the stepper further back.*** Print with high infill (50% grid used here) and at least 1mm thick top, bottom, and shell layers. Depending on printer tolerance, holes may need to be slightly enlarged. Longer M3 bolts may also be required for attaching the extruder stepper due to the thicker top plate added for strength. To assemble this design, outside wheel bolts must be installed with nuts facing forward; otherwise, insufficient space is available to access locknuts with a spanner. Additionally, the brass nut should sit atop the plate with bolts inserted from below. Apologies are offered for the subpar image quality; it was taken after reassembly had been completed... This design utilizes Creality's GitHub files for the Ender 3.
