Ender 3 Ender 5 - SeeMeCNC EZStruder Filament Sensor
cults3d
Ok, here it is... Finally! This one was a difficult one because there is SO LITTLE clearance between the filament feed opening and the lead screw on the Ender 3 or Ender 3 Pro. But we got it done. This bracket will mount the filament runout switch available from several vendors I found mine from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/XCSOURCE-Printer-Filament-Detection-TE720/dp/B06ZZ5YXM6 I have also seen the same switch available on AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029742626.html You will also need 2 3 mm x 25 screws to mount the bracket onto the extruder. If you are using an MKS Gen L board on your Ender 3 you can use SERVO3 (D4) to wire it up. Just make sure you have the wiring correct with the voltage and ground wires. You WILL have to swap them. I have updated the design to also allow the use of the TriangleLab filament runout sensor. You will need 2 M3 x 12 screws and 2 M3 nuts. UPDATE: I have added a sensor housing for use with a Creality switch to work with the Ender 5. You will need the following hardware: 1 5 mm ball bearing 2 M3 x 16 CAP hex head screws 2 M3 nuts 1 M4 x 16 CAP hex head screw 1 M4 nut 1 608 or 625 bearing Please consider providing a Tip for the Designer as I am on a very limited Social Security income. I do these designs because I have fun doing them and I could use a little money to buy filament to do my test prints. You may also send an Amazon Gift Card to benebrady@gmail.com
