Ender 3 Ender 3 pro Pivoting Filament Oiler
thingiverse
Inspired by Technidyne's oiler, I designed this device to lubricate specific types of filament and facilitate the cleaning of the heating chamber. The pivot mechanism allows for increased movement of the bucket while the X carriage is traversing across the print bed. To attach the mounting bracket to the cross rail, simply remove the end caps and secure it with two M4 x 20 mm bolts and two M4 Tee Nuts. No need to take down the top cross rail. The Oiler body is attached to the mounting plate using a single 20 mm M4 bolt and a M4 Nyloc Nut. I also added an M4 washer as a bearing between the parts, ensuring smooth movement. The bolt was left slightly loose for easy pivoting. This device was initially intended as a temporary solution for cleaning and purging, but it may prove suitable for long-term use if your filament spool positioning is correctly aligned. Printed with Primavera Orange PLA, 20% infill, two perimeters on an Ender 5.
