Ender 3 - Ender 3 Pro - Ball Bearing Spool Holder
thingiverse
I added some finishing touches, combining two parts and adding a cap nut to conceal the hardware. I also created an alternate hardware solution using more widely available bolts. This product works perfectly - it functions well in PLA, but be cautious not to over-tighten the adjusting wing. If you're concerned about the wing coming loose, use the lock nut on it. I printed this item in PETG for added durability and achieved excellent results. However, I did manage to break a PLA version due to excessive tightening of the adjuster wing while mounting a spool. You can find individual STL files for each part as well as a complete KIT STL if you prefer to print everything at once. For optimal printing in PLA, use 210 degrees Nozzle Temperature - 50 degrees Bed Temperature - 50mm Print Speed. For PETG, use 240 degrees Nozzle Temperature - 80 degrees Bed Temperature - 40mm Print Speed. To ensure successful prints, employ "Touching Buildplate" supports. The bearings I used are the "Skateboard/Rollerblade Bearings," available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FGVFN6F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
