Ender 3 Electronics Shroud (Side Intake)
thingiverse
A custom intake fan shroud for my Creality Ender 3 printer is the next project on my agenda. This time, I need to create a connection between the shroud and the side of my printer enclosure to ensure that heated air isn't drawn in by the electronics during a print job. I started with Adamant 77's original design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2935204), but ultimately redesigned the entire thing from scratch using Sketchup. UPDATE: December 24, 2018: I've updated my vent shroud to version 3, which includes an indexing flange for added component compatibility. Additionally, I uploaded a printable extension vent, a Raspberry Pi box compatible with 40XX mounts, and a 60mm fan mount that feeds into both the main vent and the extension. All these files can be printed without supports, although results may vary depending on your specific printer settings. If you only want to print the shroud, use the v2 file. UPDATE: July 1, 2019: I removed the 60mm fan mount from my design and plan to re-add it in a future update with a new and improved design.
