Ender 3 Direct Drive Linear X-Axis Mount
thingiverse
I designed a simple Direct Drive mount specifically for X-Axis linear rails on the Ender 3. The existing direct drive mount needed to be replaced after I added an x-axis linear rail, so I created this new one. M3 threaded inserts were used for the swiss-micro hotend and BL touch mount holes. I can personally vouch for the effectiveness of this mount since I'm using it myself, but you may experience varying results with the little hotend spacer. Fortunately, I already had a spare, so I didn't need to reprint it. On August 23rd, 2020, I made some adjustments to the design by widening the belt outer mount leg for added strength after breaking one of mine on the original design. Luckily, I had an extra one available! This is a critical component for printing, and if you're not careful, you might end up like me - with a broken part that requires a spare. So, to avoid any inconvenience, please print two, just in case.
