Ender 3 Direct Drive Extruder Bracket

This is a bracket used to mount the extruder directly over the cooling block. The unit uses the X axis bushings as the mounting points for the bracket and has a support section underneath the extruder motor mount to support the additional weight of the motor. This unit is intended only for the Creality Ender 3 or Ender 3 Pro that uses the stamped metal fan mounts. The stamped metal fan mount is used to support the extruder motor. This design was influenced by the Speed Drive design but I wanted the motor mounted differently. I wanted a solid, firm, mount for the motor that would not vibrate. This mount can be fixed even more securely if the top fan cover mounting screw is replaced with a longer screw and a flat washer and nut. Every effort has been made to make this an easy direct drive conversion that will be sturdy and solid that will not reduce the amount of available X axis print area.
