Ender 3 Direct Drive Extruder
thingiverse
2020-03-28 This is a modification of the Ender 3 Bowden type extruder, transformed into a direct drive extruder. It's perfectly compatible with Creality's dual gear extruder module, available separately. I've added a screw hole to the filament release trigger and installed a 20mm M3 wrench bolt for easier pressure control. The original design works just fine without modification too. This modified extruder is compatible with my hot end mount and cover design found in my design library. I've chosen the all-metal hot end from Micro-Swiss, which requires a PTFE tube of approximately 47mm length (10mm inside the Micro-Swiss hot end, 17mm inside the dual gear extruder, and 20mm between them). For the stock hot end, a PTFE tube of at least 87mm (50+20+17) is recommended. Please make sure to find the correct PTFE tube length for your system if you decide to build one.
