Ender 3 Direct Drive Adaptor

This converter empowers you to utilize the factory stepper motor and extruder of your Creality Ender 3 for a direct drive conversion. To accomplish this, you will require several additional components: 1EA - 3mm x 20mm caphead screw 2EA - 3mm x 12mm caphead screw 1EA - 3mm x 12mm tapered head screw 1EA - Stepper motor extension cable (or extend the factory wires yourself) To install the converter, follow these steps: 1. Disconnect the wire from the extruder stepper motor. 2. Remove the four extruder screws that will release the stepper motor and the extruder. 3. Take out the top two wheels from the X-axis gantry; keep all hardware intact. 4. Use the two 8mm metal spacers from the wheel axels and press them into this converter. 5. Put the gantry wheels back together with the converter in place between the gantry and the wheels. 6. Install the stepper motor and extruder on the converter. 7. Cut a short piece of tubing to connect the two connectors on the extruder and hot-end. Ensure that you leave enough length in the tube to prevent clogs from forming in the hot-end. You may need to experiment with different lengths for your Ender 3, but roughly 60-66 mm should be sufficient.
