Ender 3 - Direct Drive Adapter Angled v2

Ender 3 - Direct Drive Adapter Angled v2

thingiverse

This remix rotates the extruder 90 degrees to bring the weight closer to the x-axis carriage, maintaining clearance from the frame and preserving z-axis capability. The stepper motor spacer is identical to that of the original adapter, requiring two 20mm M3 screws just like before. Update v2: The previous design allowed for slight extruder flex when filament feed wasn't perfect. This new version now includes a front plate connected to the base via 2x countersunk M6x8 screws (IKEA scraps repurposed). It still works with the original wheel screws/nuts. The base comes in two types: one with a pilot hole for drilling a cable chain, and another with a built-in cable clip. Both a one-piece version and the first iteration are available. Extras: Cable chain - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4543675 Longer extruder knob - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4547854
