Ender 3 Damping Spring Feet for Printing at High Speeds & low noise
thingiverse
Hi everyone,\r\nI've recently upgraded my Ender 3 to a direct driver extruder and wanted to maintain high print speeds while achieving similar quality with minimal noise. To achieve this, I designed these feet that utilize the stock Ender 3 bed leveling springs, which most of us have replaced.\r\nThe hole diameter perfectly fits the stock springs - simply twist them counterclockwise while pushing in and they will fit snugly.\r\nAfter completing this mod, your printer will start to move more smoothly due to the reduced forces generated by moving the bed/print head at high accelerations.\r\nTest it with high-speed prints vs no feet to see the noticeable difference.\r\n\r\nYou'll need to print:\r\nSpringFeetFL for the front left side (one print)\r\nSpringFeet for the remaining three sides (three prints)\r\nSpringFeetBottom for all four feet (four prints)\r\n\r\nIf desired, you can use double-sided tape to secure them in place.\r\n\r\nWith these feet installed, I'm able to use the Prusa MK3 profile with doubled speed parameters as seen in the slicer image.\r\n\r\nPlease share your creations if you enjoyed this design.
