Ender 3 Creality Filament Guide Protector
thingiverse
UPDATE: Version 11 is finally complete, a major milestone for this straightforward project. I'm curious, does eleven versions really sound like overkill? While the previous iterations worked just fine, I was plagued by a persistent squeak due to the filament's sharp angle as it entered the hole. To address this issue, I designed an arch guide that should improve the filament's trajectory and reduce the likelihood of further problems. Please keep me updated if any additional work is needed. I'm still perplexed by Creality's design choice, allowing the filament to come into contact with the Z-axis screw and potentially accumulating oils and debris. This seemed like a clear oversight, and I had trouble achieving satisfactory prints as a result. I hope my revised arch guide proves more effective and provides a welcome improvement over Creality's original design. Installing this upgrade may present some challenges, as it requires careful alignment of two screws and four split washers – two on top and two underneath the metal support. The split washers can be particularly tricky to position under the support, making it difficult to secure the screws in place. I wish you all the best in successfully assembling this component.
