Ender 3 (CR-10) Z axis Leadscrew Coupler Cover
thingiverse
This is a handy little cover for the Z-axis leadscrew coupler on the Ender 3 that I designed to prevent heated bed wires from rubbing against the rotating coupler, which they tend to do in my enclosure, especially after replacing them with better quality and more flexible silicone ones. The cover mounts directly to the Z-axis stepper motor using two M3x10 screws. Keep in mind that the stepper can sometimes get hot during operation, so I recommend printing it in a temperature-resistant material if you're not comfortable with PLA. Alternatively, use the file with the "2-part" suffix, which is designed for use with a shim printed in a different material to protect the PLA cover from heat. You may or may not need this protection, but on my printer PLA works perfectly well. The picture shows how it looks on my printer - the "release candidate" two-part version with an ABS shim. For optimal results, print at 0.2 mm layer height and 0.5 mm line width. The two-part cover requires a small support for the best outcome.
