ENDER 3 / CR-10 Direct Extrusion Mount Bulldog
thingiverse
I adjusted the mount point of the motor to allow alignment with the PTFE tubing using a Bulldog Extruder, while maintaining a dual 5015 Fan setup using the Hero Me v3 Fan shroud. Upgrading to a bulldog extruder and using the original Direct Drive mount pushed the PTFE tubing to the right. This design moves the motor over to the left by 5mm, aligning the holes of the extruder and heatsink. By doing so, it removes any friction caused by pushing the filament into the hot end at an angle. I'm currently printing mine now; I will update this post with pictures to demonstrate what I mean more clearly. Thanks for the best Direct Drive mod for the Ender 3 UPDATE 01/12/20 Uploaded v6 near-perfect alignment, as well as images of dual fan Hero. I have no intention of using this setup since I don't have two x 12v or 24v blower fans; I use a single blower. UPDATE 01/01/20 Uploaded images and v3 of the mount with reduced backing to open extruder. As you can see in the images, the extruder motor still needs to come over more. For the time being, I'm happy with the result!
