ENDER 3 / CR-10 Direct Extrusion Mount
thingiverse
This design is a work in progress. If you'd like to see it adapted to a specific extruder, please provide STL files for that extruder and I'll look into it. When testing any of the parts, be sure to share your results and print settings with me, as I'm still concerned about the rigidity of some designs that incorporate large stepper motors. To ensure optimal print settings, start by printing with 4 wall layers and 50% infill. This mount is designed for easy adaptability to various extruders without obstructing available cooling ducts. As a result, it's mounted push-fit to the spacers on V-Slot wheels rather than directly to the mounting plate. If desired, you can add an M3 screw and washer through the mounting plate for extra security, but this hasn't been necessary in my tests so far. Currently available options include: + Ender 3/CR-10 Stock extruder (not tested) + E3D Titan extruder, suitable for pancake-style steppers up to 27mm as it will hit the gantry with a larger one (not tested) + E3D Titan extruder (angled) for bigger steppers (not tested, minimal space for support structures, might not hold up to the task, straight version recommended) + Mirrored Pitan extruder ([On Thingiverse](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2728600)) + Custom extruder designed to minimize the length of Bowden tube needed for those who dislike any bowden (under development) + Mount for Bondech BMG extruder (according to [this](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3182969)) (under development) Known working ducts include: + Hero Me ([On Thingiverse](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3092044)) (not tested)
