ender 3 control box with Pi and 3 buck converters
thingiverse
This is a custom enclosure designed to remotely mount your Ender 3's control box and LCD screen. The bottom layer securely holds a Raspberry Pi, along with three standard buck converters. You can power the Pi using one of these converters or connect it directly via a power cord. It also features a dedicated slot for the ribbon cable that connects to a Pi Cam. A standard 80mm PC case fan is mounted, and I power it using one of the buck converters to adjust its speed and minimize noise. The enclosure is designed to facilitate positive airflow: air enters through the fan directly on the control board, then flows down through the vents and across the Pi and buck converters before exiting out the front. My Pi operates at approximately 40C while printing in this setup. The two layers are precision-cut to fit together snugly; you may need to lightly sand the pegs for a smooth fit to prevent them from separating when handling the enclosure. I've installed the SKR Mini E3 board, but the design accommodates the original board as well.
