I built this one with a quieter fan coming directly from the control panel. The original unit whistled too loudly for my taste. To reduce noise, I eliminated the fridge covering the fan and designed a new housing for it. Additionally, I flipped the fan's direction, blowing air out of the control box instead of in. This strengthened airflow and drew fresh air into the box from all sides.
