Ender 3 cold pull PLA gcode
thingiverse
Here is the modified Gcode I use for the cold pull routine on my Ender 3, which I run every time I change filament - specifically for PLA. A big shoutout to 3dviking, whose original code can be found at https://3dviking.wordpress.com/2017/09/30/cold-pulls-for-the-easily-distracted/. I've modified his code to create this version. Here's what the Gcode does: - It heats up the nozzle to 255 degrees - Then, it cools down to 190 degrees - Next, it extrudes 10mm of material - After that, it homes all axes and moves the extruder to the right for easier filament removal - The Gcode then cools down to 90 degrees - Finally, it plays a sound to alert you that it's time to yank the filament and pull it out. When the sound plays, remove the old filament by yanking it and pulling it out. If you're working with different materials, note that I've included other temperature settings for cold pulls inside the Gcode. Kudos again to 3dviking for sharing this! To use this code, ignore the STL file and download the cold_pull_pla.gcode instead. Save it to your SD card.
