Ender 3 Cable Channel Protective Vent This protective cover/channel vent is specifically designed for the cable entry to the mainboard on the Ender 3 (not Pro) printer. It only works with the motherboard mounted facing up, unlike some other designs that can be used with the upside-down type found in the Ender 3 Pro model. For those looking for a version compatible with the motherboard installed upside down, similar to the one found in the Ender 3 Pro, you can find an alternative solution here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4202557 This design blocks the hole where cables normally enter the control box and is intended for individuals who have modified their printer to relocate the control box to the rear, leaving the cable pass-through hole unused. As this design is still in work-in-progress, I recommend exercising caution when installing it. For those seeking a cable passthrough protector, you can find the original design from which this was remixed here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2996568 To install the protective vent, an M4x8mm screw and t-nut will be required. This protective vent is designed to fit into a 40x20mm hole, with the channel extending approximately 44.5mm into it. For those who prefer a shorter version that extends only 41mm into the channel, to avoid interference with parts that may sit flush against the extrusion, an alternative design is available. This part is not oriented for printing and should be remixed as needed. A STEP file is included for easy remixing.
