Ender 3 BMG Clone Offset Mounting Wedge
thingiverse
This is specific to the Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro, where some BMG cloned extruders conflict with the Z screw and therefore cannot be used without mounting an additional angle bracket. A simple wedge fillet or spacer will offset the mounting of a BMG Clone extruder by 4 degrees, allowing it to be mounted to the stepper motor in the correct orientation without an additional angle bracket. Although a straightforward solution requires 3 x M3 x 40mm machine head hex bolts since the stock bolts that come with cloned extruders are too short. The gear attached to the stepper motor must be moved another 6mm, positioning it approximately 9.5 mm from the motor edge instead of the suggested 3.5mm. This adjustment brings the top of the gear to nearly the top of the motor shaft. These parts (you will need a pair) printed in PETG with 3 perimeters and 40% infill. The slope angled element was also printed with a 1.2 mm layer height to increase the accuracy of the angle.
