Ender 3 - BLV - Voron Afterburner Toolhead Mount

I wanted to be able to use the VoronDesign Afterburner toolhead on my Ender 3 Pro that I have converted to linear rails using the BLV kit by Ben Levi. The Afterburner allows for quick filament changes, has mounts for various hotends (E3D V6, Slice Mosquito, and Phaetus Dragon). I also created mount designs for either a BLTouch (or clone) physical probe or PL-05N/PL-08N/OMRON TL-Q5MC2-Z inductive probe. Both the PL-0XN options are cheaper, but if you're using a stainless steel flexible build plate you should use a PL-05N probe. These are more accurate than the PL-08N. The OMROM or clone will likely be more accurate than both of the PL-0XN probes. This probably won't make a difference, but I would recommend running a probe accuracy test and make sure the deviation is around 10% of your desired layer height or less. This would be <0.02mm for a 0.2mm layer height. You'll also need to solder in a BAT85 diode into the probe signal wire of the inductive probe (the black wire). Probe offsets are in the STL file names for each of the specific probes. The values should all be negative. You will need to use the Ender3Switchwire_Yaxis_HoleGuide to drill new holes in the Y Axis extrusion. The front 4 holes should screw into the stock holes and then use the remaining two holes to drill new holes 20mm further back to shift the extrusion forward. Due to the width of the linear rail and the offset caused by the hotend cartridges of the afterburner you need to complete this mod in order to maintain the entire Y Axis travel. I also included stops that can be installed at the ends of the linear rails to prevent the carriages from falling off the rails while you're assembling the printer. Once you have it fully assembled and the firmware XYZ Axis limits set up these parts are no longer necessary. The Y Axis rail can be installed flush with the front end of the Y Axis extrusion. The X Axis rail should be installed ~28mm from the right side of the X Axis extrusion. The Z Axis rails should be installed ~25mm from the top. I also included the STLs for the cable chains and all necessary mounts and ends I am currently using. These are all being used in a custom lack enclosure with external electronics that can be found in my designs. I have been using a TriangleLabs Dragon and 3DTouch for the last few months without issue. Edit 3/17/21 Added Universal_Probe_Mount_Offset_X-40_Y7.5 for use with either a PL-08N or TL-Q5MC2-Z probe. The bottom holes are for 5mm sense distance probes and the top holes are for 8mm sense distance probes. I swapped out my 3DTouch for a PL-08N due to some issues with my 3DTouch causing double/triple deploys. This was a minor occurrence I've been dealing with on my specific unit that caused for some occasional first layer problems. Most other 3DTouch or genuine BLTouch units should not have this issue.
