Ender 3 bed corner glass holder
thingiverse
Edit 9. May 2019 Definitely ABS after one week of testing with ABS print (bed temperature at 80-100°C) all seems nice. Anyway, still in progress. Considering aluminum or similar mats for this but ABS works well at 90°C. ******************************* Edit: 26. April 2019 I can say today it's working good, but when I start testing ABS on my Ender 3 there are problems with temperature. New plan is to make this with ABS and PETG work max 70-80°C, on 90°C starts melting. Infill 15-22% is okay. ******************************* 6. April 2019 Before designing these corners I used a glass for PLA/PLA+ printing and a magnetic bed or original bed for PETG print. Thanks to the glass I can finally print on a flat surface, both with the original or magnetic pad. Now I have a 3 mm glass, the Ender 3 pad was purchased from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Printer-Accessories-235x235mm-Hot-Bed-Platform-Sticker-Adapted-For-Ender-E6N5/113551203497) and on a 2 mm glass I used a magnetic foil for a magnetic pad. Bed corners designed for at least 2mm, of course works with 2-4mm. In files include Fusion 360 file, you can change it if needed. Thanks to the bracket on the three old pads, the glass is relatively secure against movement. On the bottom I used M5 washers (DIN125A) to avoid plastic deformation at spring pressure. After three hours of printing on the magnetic pad everything seems good but still in the test phase. Holders are used in three corners, in the future it's planned to adjust the cable holder together with the glass lock, but it is obvious that 3 sides should be sufficient.
