An autoshutdown system for Ender-3 (CR10...) using 2 screws, filament and a string. No hardware modification is required. This system can be directly operational. The goal is to create an autoshutdown system that utilizes the original power-off button. A special thanks goes out to 3D_PrintSlav for their inspiration. Requirements: 1 3D printer 2 screws filament 30cm of string or laces Instructions: Number of files to print: 3 You will need: - 2 screw M3*10 (for example) - 3cm of 3mm filament (or a M3*30 screw or something else in the same diameter to be an axis) - 30cm of string (depending on the height you want), I used my old Salomon's shoelaces for this 1/ The STL files are in the correct position, ready to print. You have the option to print each piece separately or at the same time with a combined STL. 2/ After printing, adapt the lever to the "window" using a 3mm axis (3mm filament, or M3 screw). The lever must move freely. Place the ergo on the upper side. 3/ Fix the piece on the PSU box over the button after removing the original screws and replacing them. 4/ Fix the X-Axis extension to the spacers. Start with the upper spacer and then add the lower one. 5/ Estimate the height you want your printer to shut off Fix the lace with nodes that hold at both ends. 6/ After moving to origin, lift the Z Axis with the control's button and save the value when the stick switches off the power button. For example: 202mm Add a few distance to be sure that the stick shuts off the button but no more to prevent any problem (5mm) Save the shutdown distance: 202 + 5 = 207 mm 7/ Modify the footer G-code to add instructions to lift the Z axis above the switch-off point. M109 R 60; For security reasons, cool the hotend to 60° before action G1 Z207; Goes up to Z 207 to shut down Ender-3 8/ Print!
