ender 3 auto shutdown 110v (stl, stp)
thingiverse
I had an existing toggle switch OTTO T9-MS1-23, a MS24523-23. I wanted a auto shutdown feature. To do this right, make sure you get big enough gauge wire to handle the power supply load - I think the ender is less than 400 watts. (I cut up a old heater plug) The ender power switch has two red wires; we just connect into the middle red wire. You will need one wire with a 3/16 blade male end and one wire with a 3/16 blade female end. On both wires, the other end gets loop ends for a #4-40 screw - solder and crimp all securely. You can get these connectors at an auto parts store. The holes in the toggle switch are threaded #4-40. Also, the holes in the model are sized for a #4-40 thread. When the machine auto stops, the z-axis moves down about 1/8" or less. Add this after the last line of your end g-code (Cura): ; Start of custom GCode M109 R45; Cooling hotend to 45 degrees G90; Absolute Positioning G1 Z250; Goes up to Z250 to turn off machine. ; End of custom GCode
