Ender-3 ASSM (Angled Side Spool Mount)
thingiverse
I'm sharing my own angled side spool mount design. The Ender-3 Side Spool Mount worked great for me initially, but I encountered an issue where I had to lift the Z-axis every time I wanted to change the spool due to the X-axis motor getting in the way. I found alternative angled designs, but they were too steep and sometimes caused issues. To address this problem, I created my own version with a slight angle, just enough to allow space for the X-axis motor. This design makes it easy to remove the spool whenever needed while maintaining smooth filament feeding without high angles. # Recommendation: I recommend combining this mount with the following spool holder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2988540. If you want to use 608zz bearings, try this remix: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3059893. With this setup, I've completely eliminated inconsistent and/or under extrusion problems. # Versions: - Standard - suitable for standard-sized spools (note that the HATCHBOX ROLL is too big). - Plus 10mm - 10mm higher to ensure safe operation. I recommend using this version on the screens.
