After installing the BlTouch, the cover no longer fits properly. This issue can be resolved by repositioning the fan. Several solutions have been proposed online, but a custom-made air duct was designed to address this problem. The air duct is printed in four parts, minimizing support requirements and reducing print time. However, some glue will be necessary for assembly. It's worth noting that a mistake was made during scaling in Blender, resulting in excess material at the connections. This can be easily removed by cutting away about 1 mm of material, which should not significantly impact the air duct's performance. To facilitate printing, an STL file of the air duct as a single piece is included. While it has not been printed, it has been tested in 3D builder and appears to be suitable for use. Additional modifications were made to enhance the fan installation: Two v-slot covers were printed to seal the bottom of the print area, preventing air from escaping through the v-slots. The design used is available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3248551). The fan's wire proved too short, but it can be extended or replaced. Alternatively, a small gap can be created in the side of the cover to accommodate the existing wire. Some users have suggested that using the BlTouch as an intake may lead to static pressure issues and layer shifts during long prints. However, no problems have been encountered with 12-hour prints, and the fan is still used as an intake without issue.
