Ender 3 - 3D Printed

My mission was to 3D print an Ender 3 clone (because why not). ATM this printer is functional but unstable. It will take some tweaking on both frame design and part placement to make this machine self-replicating. I guess you could say this is my new goal. ________________________________________________________________________ My recommendations: If you are a beginner, wait to start this project until I finalize the build. If you are a pro, feel free to connect with me on Reddit (u/CommunicationLimp927) and share what you have or plan to change. Don't mount the spool and PSU on the frame, will make the frame more unstable. Unless you want an exact clone. (currently, I have not provided a solution on this "thing" though there are many out there already) Use as much plastic as possible to make for stiff parts. Not worth it to skimp on slicing Have a drill.... ________________________________________________________________________ Yes, I know RepRap... A great mission that brought us to this moment. My project was more of a man card challenge rather than a low-key movement. My total cost for the build was $130 for both parts and filament. I purchased a "for parts" Ender 3 on eBay and had some spares laying around. The more spares you have the cheaper it will obviously be. I used a CR30 to print the extrusions and my Ender 3 army for the rest of the parts. (If enough people are interested, I will remix to make printable on an Ender 3) This will reach my long-term goal of a self-replicating 3D printed Ender-3... because why not? As a side note, I did experiment with a 3d printed lead screw.... It is possible but, not worth the plastic... (please keep in mind how much time it takes to print) But honest opinion, if you don't already have the tools to make this, It will be cheaper to buy a new Creality ender three
