Ender-2 hotbed strain relief

Ender-2 hotbed strain relief

One of the hotbed connectors broke on my ender-2 so I made this strain relief so that it doesn’t happen again. It requires one cable tie (2.5mm or smaller) and m2 screw and nut. I think it best to disconnect the cable before installing so that you don’t put any strain on the hotbed connector. PLA is works but I recommend ABS or PETG because of the temperature. There is a removable piece in the front. Remove it if you want to probe (ABL) close to the edge of the print bed. I didn’t have a crimp tool so I used a needle nose plier first and then soldered after “crimping” the BVH-41T-P1.1 connector. This can be a little difficult so it’s best to practice on another cable first. It was difficult to find out what type of connector the Ender-2 uses so I made this table. I bought my parts from conrad.se using part numbers from conrad.de. | | Type | Header | Housing | Connector | AWG | mm2 | |------------|--------|---------------------|-----------|----------------|-----|------| | Heated bed | JST VH | B4P-VH (LF)(SN) | VHR-4N | BVH-41T-P1.1 | 16 | 1.25 | | | Conrad | 741085 | 740520 | 740648 | | | | Fans | JST XH | B2B-XH-A | XHP-2 | BXH-001T-P0.6 | 26 | 0.14 | | | Conrad | 741161-62 | 741161-62 | 741112 | | | | Stepper | JST PH | S6B-PH-K-S (LF)(SN) | PHR-6 | BPH-002T-P0.5S | 30 | 0.22 | | | Conrad | 741271-62 | 740728-62 | 741135-62 | | |
