Strain Relief for Heated Bed Cable on Ender 2 Here is a plate designed to be mounted with washers and nuts under your heated bed. I highly recommend insulating your bed and using the appropriate file. I also recommend using the 3-screw version to hold planarity in place. I have created four versions of this design: ender_retain_3_insul.stl - This is my top recommendation, as it provides superior insulation. ender_retain_3_no insul.stl - Use this if you don't want to insulate your bed. ender_retain_2_insul.stl - Use this version for a smaller print job, but be aware that it may skew slightly. ender_retain_2_no insul.stl - Use this version for a small print job with no insulation. I highly recommend printing in PETG or PLA Plus, as these materials can withstand higher temperatures. For optimal results, print the main body flat on your bed and use minimal supports. Attach the plate to the bed's 3 screws and secure it with washers and nuts. I have designed this plate to fit over bed insulation. Use a cable tie to secure the connector block on the heat bed, but don't forget to add additional ties to keep your cables organized. If you haven't already, consider insulating your heated bed for improved performance. Here's how: 1. Purchase foam insulation tape from Amazon (B0195UF3SO). 2. Cut and stick the foam to the underside of your heat bed, leaving about 1/8" clearance around the edges. 3. Cut holes for screws and avoid covering soldered ends. Next, apply metal foil to seal in heat. Trim excess foil with a fingernail. Now: 1. Mount your cable protector cover over the 3 screws and secure it with nuts. 2. Assemble cables and add zip ties to keep them organized. Please note that I'm constantly improving these files, so you may see changes as new versions are released. If you decide to print one of these designs, please post a photo on this page for others to see!
