Ender 2 Bed Spacers Cups
thingiverse
Update, Printed these in PLA, and they're larger than the other version here, which seems to melt less to the bottom of the heat bed. However, I only heat them up to 65c on first layers and 60 for the rest, so I'm not sure how well they'll hold up under hotter temperatures. Maybe I'll reprint them in PETG now that I have some, and experiment with print settings. These spacer cups support the springs on your bed's trolley plate, helping maintain stability by preventing it from wobbling. You'll need to print a total of six units. The holes are intentionally undersized for a reason. Three of them can be threaded onto your bed screws, acting as makeshift nuts that keep the screw snug against the bed and prevent it from turning. This setup also helps ensure the screw remains perpendicular to the bed. On one of my printers, I had these screws loose to level the bed, which caused significant wobbling and X-Y shift in the layers. The other three screws can be drilled out to 4mm or a close equivalent, allowing them to pass through freely. I printed these with 20% infill using PLA. To ensure successful prints, make sure your bed is perfectly level and move slowly on the first layer to achieve a clean hole wall. I often use a Brim to help purge any excess material.
