Ender 2 adjustable Z stepper mount bracket
thingiverse
Yet another upgrade for the stock Z stepper mount bracket is available, offering not only front and back adjustments totaling ~2.4mm but also slight left and right adjustments of ~1mm. Instructions: - Print settings: set 'Horizontal Expansion' (Cura) to -0.1 to produce a part that requires minimal post-processing to fit the stock screws, allowing them to sink fully into the pockets with a negligible "help". - Mount the Z beam loosely using the stock screws and nuts. - Install the stepper loosely as well, ensuring it can move freely. - Remove the lead screw, then grasp the Z gantry around the top of the Z beam and screw the lead screw back in from the top. - Allow gravity to guide the lead screw into the coupler hole; adjust the stepper position so that the lead screw fits naturally. - Secure the stepper position by tightening the bracket to the beam and stepper, while preventing the stepper from moving. - Verify the lead screw still fits smoothly into the hole, making any necessary fine adjustments before securing it in place. With proper adjustment, the lead screw should rotate effortlessly, allowing a slight push on the hotend to move it downwards. FreeCad source and STEP file are included as usual.
