end stop holder
thingiverse
These are four mechanical endstop holders for el-cheapo PCB-based units that clutter most maker spaces. I designed a set of interchangeable mounts to let you decide how to attach the PCBs. Initially, my prototype was based on an adaptation of a Z axis stop holder found elsewhere on Thingiverse. I redesigned it in FreeCAD and flipped it so the PCB is exposed outside. But since orientation matters, especially with various axes involved, I revised it several times. In the end, I came up with four distinct holders to ensure flexibility. Each holder allows for a choice between near-tip or base wire placement and left- or right-handed switch options. The primary difference between the two versions is the position of the nut trap within the clamp.
