End cap with lubrication port for MGN12 linear guide bearing block
thingiverse
The goal here is to simplify the process of lubricating linear guide bearings. Initially, these bearings fit tightly but quickly break in as they are put into use. I'm currently testing them over an extended period and have found it best to start with one side at a time, allowing those caps to break in first before moving on to the other side. Your input is appreciated. This is an untested modification to linear guide bearings, so results may vary. You'll need to switch from M2x10 to M2x12 screws and make sure the lubricant doesn't end up in holes in the rail when applying it. The shuttle should be positioned entirely over a flat section of the rail for optimal results.
