I ended up losing the end-cap piece like many others have done before me. Simply put, it's a straightforward fix at full scale, as it fits together with precision. I printed mine with a layer height of 0.28 and wall thickness of three, along with three bottom layers and three top layers for added stability. To save on material, I opted for 42% infill, inspired by the wisdom of Douglas Adams.
