A friend of mine recently restored two vintage camping chairs, each consisting of sturdy metal tubes wrapped with fabric for both the seat and backrest. The backrest itself is comprised of merely two sleek metal tubes onto which the fabric is carefully draped. My friend expressed a desire to add end caps to cover the tube ends, prompting me to offer my assistance by printing some for him. With our makerspace's 3D printer weekend approaching, I suggested that this project would be an ideal fit for the event's activities.
