End Blade XCB-105-1078, a relic from 400 BCE to 100 CE. XCB-105 Adamagan, an Aleut term for hunters of walruses, anchors the Morzhovoi Bay in western Alaska's Peninsula. This massive village is home to diverse occupations, boasting a population of approximately 1,000 people at its peak. The village was once the largest settlement in the Arctic during its occupancy from 400 BCE to 100 CE. Archaeological evidence also points to limited occupations dating back to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. Research grants from NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411 facilitated the research under the direction of H. Maschner, Principal Investigator. Scanning was done using a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i, with subsequent processing in Geomagic or Polyworks. A minimum of two photos were used for texture enhancement in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitizing took place at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while further processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage.
