End Blade XCB-003-147\nXCB-003 or IZM-003 is a site extensively tested by A.P. McCartney in 1971. It serves as the type-site for the Izembek Phase. A small village boasts an extraordinary whalebone house and numerous artifacts remarkably similar to those found in the Bristol Bay region. The date of this site approximates 1200-1350 CE. It is also likely an Adamagan Phase dating back to 400BCE-100CE levels. Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts result from comprehensive research funded by grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411, with H. Maschner as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were scanned using a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processing in Geomagic or Polyworks was conducted, with 2-8 photos used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitizing work took place at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage. McCartney, A.P. 1974 Prehistoric Cultural Integration along the Alaska Peninsula is published in APUA 16(1):59-84. Maschner's research is also documented: doi: 10.1353/arc.2011.0007 Arctic Anthro., January 1, 2004 vol. 41 no. 2 98-111.
