Encounter VIII
myminifactory
Chadick's work is deeply rooted in three primary themes: the suffering animal, the unexpected stranger, and the observer. His focus lies more on evoking emotions than abstract concepts. This piece distinctly falls under the second category. In his series "Encounters," Chadwick created over 20 masterpieces - a man transforms into a primal being who encounters an equally primitive fellow-species. The image revolves around the intense tension that develops during this encounter, and it features nods to African or Polynesian folk art, which is not surprising given Chadwick's fascination with these cultures. A total of four bronze replicas were crafted.
