This PostScript program generates optical encoder wheels with numerous features, such as correct inside and outside diameters regardless of line width, quadrature capabilities adjustable phase difference, automatic text size scaling, optional index track with adjustable size or auto-fitting to segment size, automated page filling with cutting allowances, and customizable options for most features. To use, open the file in a text editor, edit the settings, then view and print it using a PostScript viewer (e.g., Acrobat, Okular) or interpreter (GhostScript, ps2pdf). Recent updates include added page size options in v1.4, correction of a quadrature phase difference bug in v1.3, and fixes for a 1-degree segment gap issue at high segment counts in v1.2, as well as letter descender placement corrections in v1.1 and typo fixes in v1.01.
