Enclosure joint for foam board enclosure
thingiverse
I whipped up this design in Fusion 360 for a custom enclosure to house my printer. Since I'm just 13, I had limited materials at hand, so I headed to Walmart and picked up some foam boards, figuring that if they're used for insulation, they'd make great enclosure material - especially since each one cost only about three bucks! To join these foam boards together tightly in the corners, I designed a special joint. I ended up printing eight of them (one for each corner) and then simply cut a matching foam board to fit on top. This super-cheap solution works surprisingly well as a decent enclosure. The best part? It can be torn down in just minutes! To ensure it doesn't take over the entire space, make sure to trim it down to 65mm tall in your slicer.
