prusaprinters
This is an enclosure (bottom, top, feet) for the Sparkfun's Openscale and also a plate for the load cell. It should work with the strain gauge load cells from uXcell, Sparkfun, and Adafruit; 80mm x 12.7mm x 12.7mm (note that Adafruit's documentation lists it as 75mm x 12.7mm x 12.7mm). The load cell's mounting holes use M4 mounting hardware. The recommended assembly is as follows:1) Attach Openscale to base using M2.5 screws - a washer could be used between Openscale and base's standoffs.2) Connect Openscale to strain gage wires.3) Attach top plate to strain gage (using M5 screws) - spacer must be used between plate and gage.4) Attach strain gage to base - spacer must be used between base and gage.5) Attach top plate to complete enclosure using M2.5 screws.6) Attach feet to bottom of base - use bit of glue to attach.Project Page → https://github.com/ElTopollillo1990/openScaleProjectReferences:SparkFun OpenScale - SEN-13261 - SparkFun ElectronicsLoad Cell - 10kg, Straight Bar (TAL220) - SEN-13329 - SparkFun ElectronicsStrain Gauge Load Cell - 4 Wires [Various Weights] : ID 4630 : $3.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kitsAmazon.com: uxcell 20kg Weighing Electronic Balance Wired Load Cell Weighing Sensor for Kitchen Scale,Human Body Bathroom Scale, Jewelry Scale : Office Products
