I picked up this kit over the weekend as a fun little project to tackle in a day. Determined to create an enclosure for it, I dived headfirst into making it happen. The instructions were clear and concise, making the build relatively straightforward; however, those with more extensive electrical experience may want to source their own parts (this one even employs a familiar type of op-amp), as I'm not exactly wired in when it comes to schematics. For this reason, I opted for the full kit. Not having the proper tools on hand, specifically bits that can create large enough holes in an Altoids tin, rather than running errands to the hardware store down the street, I decided to put my skills to use and design an enclosure instead. To give the speaker every chance to shine, considering it's slightly underpowered, I made sure it snapped into place securely on top and added standoffs to minimize vibration dampening from any surface you might choose to rest it on. This is just version one, with a few more parts waiting in the wings to be uploaded tomorrow once I get everything assembled. Here are some tips for printing: * Make sure to print both halves at high infill to achieve maximum strength and structural integrity.
