Enclosure for electronic load DL-24
thingiverse
I designed this enclosure for my DL24 electronic load. It’s a minimal design to protect the electronic board. I have two versions for the lower half. I used the first version, but designed later the second one with some more holes on the sides. It’s up to you to check which one is better ;-) The fan sucks the cool air from below through the thermal vias in the board and through the heatsink fins. I tested with 100W load about one hour and the internal temperature (value showed on display) was about 53°C (room temperatur was 25°C) Maybe you can check the temperature without enclosure, feedback welcome. I mad pushers for micro-switches with 3.8mm and 3.9mm diameter. Choose those that fit better. Use screws with size of M3 x 6 mm for screwing all. You can screw directly into the plastic. Important! Glue large rubber feets under the bottom, so that ventilation is possible! By the way, I checked the MOS-FET to see if there is heat-conducting paste on it. There was something on it, but I cleaned all and used my own (better) thermal compound. THIS THINGI IS HERE, BUT I CANT SEE IT IN MY DESIGNS! WHY?
